Yesterday we made plans to meet Lauren & Co and Tali & Co at Park Herzliya for a picnic dinner and playing on the slides. As we were getting ready to go, Simon said to me "please tell me when we are driving when we get to Herzliya so that me and Eli can start saying 'herzliya herzilya herzliya.' Until we get there we will just say 'raanana, raanana, raanana.'" Luckily they seemed to have forgotten that plan by the time we got in the car because I think that would have made for a very annoying ride. There is one point on the drive to Herzliya where every single time, Eli points and says "look, it's Herzliya!" It's just a random street but for some reason it defines the city of Herzliya for him. Weirdo.
We didn't get to the park until almost 6, so the kids played for a little bit and then we had a picnic dinner and then Simon, Asher, Boaz and Eli ran away. We could see them running on the track around the park (so cute, they were all in a line with Eli trailing behind but making a valiant effort to keep up). They went around a bend and we couldn't see them anymore. We waited a couple of minutes to see if they'd come back, but only Asher came back to tell us that he couldn't run anymore because his "wrist" hurt. He calls his waist his wrist--love that! I went to investigate to see where the others were and I found Simon sitting down taking a break and Eli and Boaz were in a very long line waiting to go on the zip line. It looked kind of high and not good for Eli to me, but Boaz told me that Simon said that Eli went on it before. I confirmed that with Simon--apparently he's gone on it when they've been at the park with David. When it was finally Eli's turn, he decided he didn't want to go.
We didn't leave the park until almost 7:30 so the kids had a quick tub and then actually gave me very little arguments about going to bed. We had to read 2 books in Simon's room and 1 book in Eli's room and that was it.
**Note: Eli picked out his own clothes and that is why he looks like that. Marcia said he reminds her of the movie Grumpy Old Men**
