Today all of Eli's dreams came true. He got to see his beloved Yuval HaMevulbal live on stage at our mall! Because he is so famous (that is not sarcasm, he really is. Like The Wiggles, for example. Or Elmo), it was important to get there early to get good seats. Marcia took the kids to the mall in the early afternoon and they played in the gymboree and then went to scout out good seats around 4:00, which was a solid hour and a half before the show started! It was good that they did that because the place was PACKED. I got there around 5:15 after waiting 10 minutes to just get into the parking garage!! I could barely get off the escalator because there were so many people but I finally spotted Marcia and the boys and I shoved my way to get through to where they were. They had a bunch of snacks and drinks with them and Marcia showed me a water bottle and explained that Eli had peed in it...she hadn't wanted to risk loosing their spot and he had to go so she improvised!! The kid sitting next to us didn't have such a quick-thinking adult with him and he proceeded to pee all over the floor. It was pretty gross but the mother wiped it up fairly quickly and none of it got on any of us so at least that part was good.
Anyway, the show started and the kids LOVED it! Eli looked like he was in shock for most of the time, but Simon was singing and dancing his heart out. When it was over, Eli cried as we were walking away because he wanted more. And then we got in the car and he recounted every single detail of the show. So even though he looked like he was in shock, he was certainly taking it all in!
