Florida

On Sunday morning, we got up bright and early and Papu drove us to the airport for our flight to Florida. We had managed to fit everything into our 3 alloted bags (that's why I saved a trip to Target for necessities like Downy dryer sheets for the last leg of the trip, to save luggage space on the domestic flight) but then discovered that Delta is already charging $3 per bag anyway. First they charge for food on planes and now you can't even bring stuff with you for free--what is this world coming to?
The flight was pretty empty, so we had 2 whole rows to ourselves which was great. When we landed, David took most of the luggage in a cab to Savti and Zaide Bear's house and picked up the car and came back to get us. I entertained the kids by reading books and feeding them m&m's until David came back for us about 1/2 hour later.
We settled in at the house and then David went back to the airport to pick up Zaide who was on his way back from Toronto. After he got back, we went up to Boca to see Granny and Grandpa. The kids were exhausted, but were fairly well-behaved and made a good impression on the great-grandparents. We hung out there for a while and then went back to Hollywood for dinner and bed.
The next morning, we went back to Boca and visited Judy for a little while. Then we went to G&G's again and had lunch with them. Finally, we went to Grandma Judy's for a little while and for some more snacks before going back to Hollywood. Savti came back from Toronto and Simon reminded her that she had told him at Ezra's house that she had presents for him in Florida.
I've probably mentioned on here a few times that Eli is a bit aggressive and tends to hit. He often takes out his aggression on Simon who knows that he is not allowed to hit back because we are trying to teach Eli to be nicer. This seems to be backfiring. Simon went up to Zaide and hit him. Zaide said "why did you do that?? Do you want me to hit you back?" and Simon said "you're not allowed to hit back!" Oops, so much for that lesson.
