Mic, Ayla, Shalem and Amitz came for Shabbos to celebrate Eli and Amitz's first birthdays. Eliav and Dina came for both meals and we all had a great time. Simon and Shalem played so well together--we hardly saw them the whole time because they were so busy. Shalem seems to have realized that if he speaks to Simon in English, Simon will actually respond to him so that worked out well for them. Simon also loved it that Shalem slept on the pull-out bed in his room.
We bought Eli a little ride-on car for his birthday--he loves it (although not as much as his ball tent from Becky), but he's a little bit too short for it, so he has to sit a little bit tilted so that he can get one foot to reach the ground and propel him around.
On Saturday afternoon we had a birthday party in the park for the boys. While we were waiting for everyone to get there, Eli just sat still and devoured 3 or 4 pieces of watermelon. He still had enough room for cake, but shortly after he ate a piece of grass, choked on it, and threw up a good portion of his watermelon and cake. I guess he partied a little too hard.
