Savti and Zaide Bear are Here!

This morning David dropped Simon off at school and went straight to the airport to pick up Savti and Zaide Bear. I took Eli to Bettina's and realized that it is a longer walk than I thought and now I feel bad for all the times that I make David walk him there when we are running late in the morning because clearly it just makes David even later!
My friend Jenna from Boston was staying with us as well so she helped me do some major cleaning before David got back with his parents. We spent the time after they arrived before picking up Simon (who got out at 11 for some reason) going through all the stuff that they brought. It was like Christmas morning! Savti and I went to pick up Simon and she got to see him in his Spiderman costume. Then we went home and Simon got lots of presents. Then everyone went to Cup of Joe for lunch and Jenna and I went to pick up Eli and then go meet everyone else for lunch. Eli went right to Jenna when we got there and he was playing with her glasses case. Then Bettina handed him a mishloach manot and he was so excited that he dropped the glasses case as if it was on fire and grabbed for the package that he knew had candy in it! He ate a candy necklace on the way to lunch and arrived covered in sugar. Savti and Zaide were happy to see him anyway.
After lunch we went home for Eli to take a nap. Savti and Zaide fell asleep too, so when Eli woke up, Jenna and I took the kids to the Purim parade. It was so crowded and impossible to see anything, so we met Abby and Jake and Abby's mom at Coffee Bean and got ice blendeds. We were towards the end of the parade route and the crowd started to thin out so we were eventually able to get a good view of the last few floats and then they parked some of the floats on Ben Gurion Street so we were able to go up and get a good look at them and Simon climbed on a couple of them.
After the parade we hung out at home for a bit and then went out for dinner with Vered and Yehuda and Moshe, Maytal and their 2 kids. The kids ran wild most of the time, but we were outside at Kababa so it was ok. Simon REALLY wanted sushi since we were right next door to the sushi place and he didn't quite understand that just because we were next door, we were at a different restaurant and couldn't get sushi. He got over it and ate a hamburger quite happily.
After dinner, David took his parents to their hotel and everyone crashed and went to sleep.
