The kids woke up really excited on Monday morning knowing it was the day that Auntie Huvi was coming with Alli and Madi. Unfortunately, their flight was a bit delayed so we had to re-shuffle our carefully planned day. Lygia came in the morning and took the kids to the Chanuka party/show at Yad LaBanim, which was supposed to be the activity that would keep them occupied while I went to the airport but that didn't happen. Instead, their flight was late enough that we had time to go pick up the rental car in Herzliya and then we all went to the airport. Of course we got stuck in ridiculous traffic and they ended up having to wait for us. And we forgot to bring the signs we made for them. Also, Eli had fallen asleep in the car so Madi didn't even get to see him until we got back to Ra'anana and all she wanted was to "see Eyi!" David and Eli drove back in our car and the rest of us went in the rental. At one point, Huvi turned around and saw that Madi had taken out one of her markers and decorated her face green. She makes quite an impression!
It was already late in the day by the time we got home, so we just relaxed and lit candles and the kids were so excited to get presents and to open the lego that Auntie Huvi brought them. We got take-out for dinner and eventually went to bed.
