A Fun Yom Kippur for Simon!

Simon observed Yom Kippur by playing with my friend Julia (who saved my life by babysitting for him all day!) for the whole day. They had a great time--they made play-dough--Simon tasted it while they were making it and he got a whole spoonful of salt, which he didn't like. Then he didn't want to go anywhere near the play-dough after that! And, when she put him in for a nap, she told him that he shouldn't cry when he wakes up, he should just say "Julia...Julia." Lo and behold, an hour and a half later, she hears "Julia...Julia...Julia!" I knew he was smart:) We went to break the fast at Jesse and Yael's--Simon looked really cute in gray wool pants, a blue and white plaid shirt and a blue sweater. He was very happy to be out and about after a whole day inside. Just now, David was getting ready to put him to bed and Simon was by himself in his room playing with his winnie-the-pooh music book. He pressed a button that plays the song "oh dear what can the matter be..." and HE WAS SINGING "oh dear...la la la la...oh dear..." Pretty amazing.
