Vroom...Beep Beep...Cah (that's "car" with Simon's Boston accent)

Simon had a lovely Shabbos. Shabbos finally starts early enough for all 3 of us to eat dinner together, which was very nice. Simon especially liked the grilled corn on the cob--he carefully examines the whole thing looking for the perfect place to bite. This morning he woke up pretty early and David got up with him and gave him breakfast and played for a while. Then they came to wake me up and we tried unsuccessfully to take a family nap. Simon read us The Little Red Caboose a few hundred times and seemed to be ok with us going to sleep, but he wanted to go downstairs. Unfortunately, he can't get down the stairs by himself so he stands at the top and yells "Down, down" until someone comes to help him. Eventually, David took him to shul (and actually found his jacket that he lost on the way home last week tied to the handrail on the Gardner Path stairs!!) and then the Raders and the Aliphases came for lunch. Simon had a lot of fun playing with Gavri and Joshy--for the most part they all played pretty nicely together. A few little sharing (or not sharing) incidents, but nothing major. Gavri taught Simon about jumping on the couch...I hope this won't mean another trip to the ER!! It was almost 4:30 by the time they all left, so Simon played for a couple of hours and then ate a delicious dinner that was quite similar to lunch. Then he played with his car--the seat opens up and he loves to put stuff in there and drive it all around--and then went to sleep.
