Lots of Monkeys at the Zoo!

Last night, Matt babysat and we went to Olive for dinner and had really really really good food. Matt said the boys were very well behaved and Simon didn't bite Shalem at all, he just grabbed at his face a few times and then said "nice" and patted his head. Today we got a little bit of a late start because Simon slept until almost 10:30. I guess all of these late nights are catching up with him. Once we were finally ready to go, we went to the zoo, which was great! We saw monkeys and elephants and zebras and giraffes and flamingos (which Shalem can say very clearly and Simon can't even try) and pelicans (they were sleeping and Simon said "n'night melicans"). Simon now has a new favorite drink--chocolate milk in a squeezy bottle, which is called "Shoko." He asks for it by name. That's one of two hebrew words that he knows--Mic sings a song with Shalem that goes "lashevet...lakoom" and he sits down and stands up. Yesterday Simon was sitting down and then as he got up he yelled "KOOM" and kept doing it over and over! We tried, but to no avail, to get a good picture of the two boys together at the zoo. Enjoy these pictures from the zoo and Shabbat Shalom!

So the title says monkeys, but the picture is a zebra. Do you guys know the difference? And what are you teaching my grandson? Or does the word 'zebra' in Hebrew mean 'monkey' in English? Glad you are all having such a good time.
