We had a very relaxing Shabbos. Simon slept until almost 11am and then we went to the park. The park was huge and had lots of slides and fun stuff, but Simon was very scared of it for some reason. Eventually, we left the playground area and just let Simon and Shalem run wild in the grass. Shalem is a much better runner than Simon is. We went back and had lunch and then everyone took naps and that pretty much took up the whole day! Today, both boys unfortunately woke up super early and were a little bit cranky, which meant lots of fights over trains and a few biting incidents. It seems like Simon is averaging about 3 time-outs a day because of biting. I'm not sure that the time-outs are doing anything, but he goes and sits by himself and doesn't move until we tell him he can. And then he goes to Shalem and says "rorry" and gives him a kiss. Shalem is a very good sport about the whole thing. David and Mic went on a tiyul (hike) and Ayla, her brother Ari and I took the kids to Mini-Israel, which is exactly what it sounds like. It is models of all of Israel that you can walk around. It is like a mini-golf course without the mini-golf and it is very very cool. Simon and Shalem only wanted to stop and look at parts that had cars, buses or water. It's good because now I can say that we went to Haifa, the Golan, Mt. Hermon, Masada, the Dead Sea, Tel Aviv, etc and it only took about 1/2 an hour to get there from Jerusalem:) Mic and David got home shortly after we did--they had stopped at the mall in Mevaseret and picked up Kentucky Fried Chicken-yummy!! That was a good afternoon snack and then everyone napped and we are going to Ayla's aunt's house for dinner in a little bit.
