For the first time ever, Simon was away from both his Mommy and his Dada overnight because we went to Pennsylvania for Ben and Jessie's wedding. He didn't even notice or care that we were gone since he was with his favorite person in the whole world, Grandy. He had a great time playing with Aleeza, Yakira and Rafaella, although he eventually got sick of playing with girls and wanted to be with the men. He also went to see Uncle Alan and Kathy and impressed them with his fabulous table manners and showed everyone how good cupcake is for the hair. When we got home this afternoon, I saw him first and he sort of waved to me and then ran and gave Grandy a big hug. Then David came in the room and he yelled "Dada!" and ran and gave him a hug. It was only when David told him to "give Mommy a kiss" that he came over to me. He didn't seem mad that we had left him, only indifferent. He's my friend again now because I gave him a fun bath and read him the dinosaur story, Quiet-Loud, Love-Bug and Goodnight Moon--that was a lot of stories, but I think it's better to read 4 different books rather than read the same one 4 times, which is sometimes his preference!
