Simon had a great day today. First he went to shul with David and ate plenty of herring. Then we all ate lunch outside on the porch and Simon ate lots of broccoli which for some reason he says with some sort of British accent. Then David took a nap and Simon and I went out for the whole afternoon. First we went to Griggs Park and Simon went on the swings for about 2 1/2 seconds and then played in the sandbox. He was playing very nicely by himself and then another kid came in and Simon said "NO!" He ended up letting the kid in, but not very happily. We were just getting ready to go play on the slide when we saw Ella and Martie--twins who had been in the very first session of the music class that we took--and their parents. Then Hallie came with her parents too. Ella and Martie had brought their little tiny Maclaren strollers to push around. Luckily Ella wasn't all that interested in hers, so Simon was able to play with it. He LOVED it and tomorrow while I am in Buffalo for Abi's wedding he and David are going straight to Magic Beans to buy him one. He was running all over the park with it and having the best time. Then when I asked him if he wanted to go home he said "Bella." So we went to see Isabella. She was sleeping when we got there, so he played with Abby for awhile and then Isabella got up and then Shira, Dave and Elan came over too. Other than a couple of sharing issues, Simon and Isabella had a great time and they gave each other huge hugs before we left. We came home, woke up David, ate dinner, had a bath and went to bed in yummy flannel pajamas because it is finally getting cold out!
