Yesterday when I picked up Simon at daycare, he very proudly showed me his "beeeg steeeecker" with a truck on it. This time, he actually got to keep it because he didn't bite anyone for the whole entire day!!!! Whoo-hoo!!! I'm trying not to celebrate too much because he has gone for 1 or 2 days in the past without biting anyone and then it comes back full force. So maybe he is over it and maybe not. But hopefully he is.
When we got home, Simon walked around in David's slippers for a while and then we played with cars and lay on the couch looking at all of the pictures in the camera (this is a favorite activity of Simon's--he still thinks every picture of himself is Joshua) until David got home. David made yummy veggie burgers for dinner and Simon was very happy when Jen came over and ate dinner with us.
Before he went to bed, he made me read him both Pat the Bunny and Pat the Puppy. Suddenly he loves those books, which is so weird because they are not about any sort of dinosaur or vehicle or monkeys or hippos. He went to sleep very agreeably so I guess he was tired. He wouldn't give me a kiss though. He's very into saying "no kiss. no 'ug." And then squirming away if we try to kiss and hug him anyway.
