Today was another fun day in Florida for Simon. This morning, he woke up to find to his delight that his cousins Alli and Ezra and Auntie Huvi had arrived while he was sleeping. He and Ezra (who is 4 months older than he is) are having a great time together. They take turns being the "leader" and all they do is follow each other around and want to do exactly what the other is doing. So much so that Ezra took 2 baths today because he had already taken one when Simon went to take a bath and he wanted to take another one since that is what Simon was doing! Grandma Judy came for lunch and brought her famous potato kugel which Simon ate with gusto!
In the afternoon we went up to Boca to see Granny and Grandpa and Lynne, Barry, Mack and Ethan. Poor Simon--in the car I told him that we were going to see Granny and he got so excited because he thought I said GranDy...he was disappointed when we got there and it wasn't actually "Ducky house." He warmed up after a few minutes and had a lot of fun playing with trains and running all over the place. He even sat still for a few minutes to read a book with Grandpa. And Granny taught him how to use her portable radio/light flasher/siren that she has just in case!! He loved that. He also was really glad to see Mack and Ethan, but Ethan (who he prefers to call by his Hebrew name, Etan-that Simon, so frum!) in particular. He sat on the couch next to Ethan and kept looking at him adoringly and saying "hi."
Simon is definitely excited to see Joshua in a couple of days--I told him that Joshua was coming soon and he said "my Jo-shu-a!"
In the car on the way to Boca, Simon was holding BrrrBrrr in one hand and Thomas the train in the other and he held them up to each other and said "BrrrBrrr...Thomas" as if he was introducing them to each other. Then he held Thomas up to see out the window and he said "loooook...airplane!"
