Playing in the Snow!

Simon had a really fun day today. First, he watched some quality Teletubbies while eating a leisurely breakfast. Then, we went to music class where it was the first day of a new session. Unfortunately, Colleen, the teacher, had car trouble and wasn't there and the substitute was not that great. Simon had a good time anyway and as usual spent most of the time running around the room in circles. After music, we went home and made noodles for lunch with butter and sauce the way we love them (and David makes fun of us for that) and then Simon napped from 1:30 until 4:30. Shortly after he woke up, David came home from watching the Bears game and he and Simon went to play in the snow. Simon had some difficulty at first because he couldn't figure out how to walk in his boots. I'm not sure if they don't fit right or if they are just really heavy. He loved the snow--he tasted it because David told him it was like ice cream. He also got a snowball to the face and learned how to make his own snowballs and throw them. He didn't want to come inside at all! He didn't eat a very good dinner and then after his bath, he somehow convinced me to let him have about 5 cookies. It wasn't very hard for him to convince me--he just looked so cute when he asked for "more cookie, mommy?" And for each cookie he had, he insisted that I had one too!
